Holy Convoy Batman!
It was Fleet FM's Convoy 6 on Saturday and what a convoy it was. This was my first time hitting a convoy party and I was pretty blown away by the amount of bands rocking it around the place. The convoy is a mega-thon of local bands on two stages ripping out some mean beats and filling up the venue (in this case Space bar in Newmarket AK) with good vibes.
My mega high lights were:
MC Stormtroopa piping some classic nerd-core stylings out to a pumped crowd. The Benka Boradovsky Bordello Band counting it out. Obviously I wouldn't be able to talk about the Convoy without giving some love to my dance master Disasteradio, who pulled a full set's worth of dancing out of me after I had been up for way too long, performed an hour & a half improv stage show and was rightly ready for sleepy time - but - there would be no sleepy time when electro beats needed to synth their way into my body and activate the dance reflex.
If you haven't heard of, checked out, listened to or put your hands in the air for Tommy Ill then you need to hit his myspace and check some tracks right now. Enough said.
It was an awesome night which just sends loving vibes from me to all the bands and the crew at Fleet FM who put it together.
Cheers all!

Christian Louboutin is
Christian Louboutin is designing a shoe range inspired by gay Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas. The legendary footwear maker is close friends with the sportsman - who came out in 2009 - and the pair reportedly met for lunch in Cardiff last month to discuss the new collection, which will be called 'Alfie', Gareth's nickname.A source told The Sun newspaper: "Christian Louboutin Boots is working on a casual shoe range, with Gareth as the main inspiration. He's really chuffed about it."While Christian Louboutin Pumps has a popular menswear line and last year designed a range of sneakers with DJ Swizz Beatz, he is more famous for his high-heeled creations - which are a favourite among a host of celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.He has previously revealed he measures how good his shoes are by what they look like on a naked woman. He said: "The ultimate must still look good when a woman is naked. The design that encapsulates my career is the Pigalle, a low-cut, high-heeled pump. It's so subtle in that it adds something sexy to the body, but you don't immediately realise that it's the shoe that is making the difference."
