Wow, has it been that long already? It seems like ages since we last ventured to Wellington for some art toy goodness. Well, the time has come once more for an journey of grandness and toy lovery. Me and Jess are leaving on a jet plane tomorrow to check out Popup's Dunny Series 5 release party (and as always to check out the awesomeness that is the capital). Popup is launching both the Dunnys and a new vinyl art toy version of the Simpsons (kicking off at 6pm, 57 Ghuznee St - plug). We have packed out bags and are prep'd for the trip. Jess has even baked some freaking awesome looking Dunny cupcakes (I'll prod her for a photo upload). This series of Dunnys sees some old faces and some new, I have to say that personally I'm really looking forward to checking out Amanda Visell's take on the Dunny shape. Knowing me I will haul Jess to Te Papa again so she can see my nana in a tv print ad from the 50s and then I'll force her to watch the 'Kea won't hump a sexy helmet' video... again. Oh yes, Wellington you have all I need. I'm also looking forward to cranking the camera on some Welly street art goodness. Catch you there.
