This past Saturday night saw the return of my occasional binge drinking habit, but more importantly it peeked its head out in celebration of the Einstein Music Journal launch party at Whammy Bar in Auckland. EMJ is the super team of one Sarah Gooding and one Nick Fulton. And here we have a case of one and one making three. The two have been going strong, keeping us up to date with NZ bands and some awesome overseas bands. The fervent support that EMJ shows for local talent is admirable.

Saturday night's bill included, Tommy ILL, Little Pictures, Bang! Bang! Eche! and Brand New Math. Whammy was bull-rushed with punters around 11:00pm, and everyone was keen for a dance, especially after downing a cheaply priced vodka or two, which was on special for the evening.

The blur of the night was jam-packed with excitement, and the local community felt quite cemented as these talented NZ musicians let it rip.
