Hey, Cut To The Chase!
This week Reverend Jellie, a troupe of Improvisers dedicated to bringing improvised theatre to life in front of your eyes, presents Cut To The Chase a new format of improvisation. It is rocking from Thurs 8th - Sat 10th, 7pm at Cross Street Studios, Auckland and should not be missed.
Our own Makeshift member Steven Lyons is part of the troupe so we are really excited to see the show. The troupe will open their imaginations wide and, taking leads from a arbitrarily chosen Director, players will embark on quick fire journeys into the unknown. The Director will do his best to ride this comet of comedy and pilot it smoothly during his moment at the helm. The idea is that if he succeeds you’ll be thrilled by the journey and applaud his success; if he fails you’ll be on the floor with laughter!
These guys are giving everyone a chance to see some fresh improvised theatre in an exciting new format. The troupe are going to be working their improv bones to the core to bring you commotion, emotion and improvised theatre... and through the magic of improvisation every show is different!
Reverend Jellie is live in Auckland for three nights only this comedy festival, so don't miss out.
