I don't know too much about either of my great grandmothers, other than they existed, but after hearing about this play, I'm going to dig out the ol' family history and rummage around in search of some interesting tidbits in my lineage.

Grace, the latest play from The Rebel Alliance theatre company, is written and directed by Sophie Dingemans and based on a true story about her great grandmother, Grace Oakeshott. Grace made the ultimate sacrifice for love when she faked her own death to run away to New Zealand with the man she loved. The play has already received rave reviews from its stint at BATS in Wellington, and those in Auckland get to check it out at The Basement from Monday September 15th to Saturday the 20th. You can get tickets from The Edge at $25 and $20 concession.
