Auckland
Paper Scissors Stock, now you play
Auckland's best street artists crunched into one space, their own space, for what promises to be a gob-smackingly tasty exhibition of accessibly priced but excessively awesome prints. Yes, I'm a fan of the Cut Collective.
This is not a tree
Quick photo post from thisisrabbit's flickr page. I'm always amazed at how sad Auckland city is, a few trees and public artworks would certainly help this.
The difference
I love this photo, the poster was originally for an anti-animal cruelty rally but somehow after the addition of that speech bubble I think we are the ones who should be scared... very scared.

Richard Freestone - Populaire
Auckland-based artist Richard Freestone has a wonderful looking exhibition that opened last week at Seed Gallery in Newmarket. The exhibition of new works, entitled Populaire, looks at creating an intersection between high art and the low-brow of popular culture and runs from August 27 to September 7.
Come on, show some decorum
Having just landed back in Auckland we have been lucky enough to get a heads up on a very neat looking exhibition from Auckland-based artist, Henrietta Harris. We will be at Satellite Gallery this Tuesday checking out the opening night.
It is Urbid Morbia
Last week I was lucky enough to check out Urbid Morbia at the James Wallace trust Gallery in Auckland. Urbid Morbia is an exhibition presented by sculptor Alexander Hoyles and photographer James Lowe. The show is only on for another week so here is some info to help you get along.
